Application Process

EC Harris currently offers Advanced Apprenticeships in Quantity Surveying and Building Surveying starting in September 2012.

Apprenticeships in Project Management are under development and more information will be provided on our website once the scheme has been launched.

There are many benefits of doing an apprenticeship such as learning new skills, meeting, working alongside and engaging with new people and also learning new skills every step of the way. Throughout my time at EC Harris I have had an amazing experience of meeting new people, learning new skills and also attending social events with the company.

On a day to day basis I face many different challenges such as cost planning, measuring elements of different buildings, estimating prices of materials, as well as liaising with architects, fellow surveyors and engineers.

The best aspect of undertaking an apprenticeship for me has to be the hands-on, out-of-office side where you get to see the projects you have been working on doing the calculations and measuring for, and actually see the start of the process right the way through to the end.

I would thoroughly recommend apprenticeships as they are the opening to a whole new beginning, career and life.

Do I have to pay for my qualifications?

No, the government and/ or EC Harris will pay for the college fees. You will receive a salary and will earn whilst you learn.

What would happen after my Apprenticeship?
